Failed Hazard Perception No idea why Hi, just failed my hazard perception with 30/75. No way did I do that badly in spotting the hazards, so can only assume I did the test wrong. I clicked everytime I seen a hazard developing but didn't click everytime I seen a hazard. I was under the impression you should only click when a serious hazard develops, and not simply click everytime something occurs which could turn into a hazard. Am I way of the mark here? Obviously frustrated as I am very aware, so any pointers would be appreciated so I know where I went wrong here. Cheers, Chris

Re: Failed Hazard Perception No idea why i took mine this morning and ithe explaination was clear as mud! all i can say is the test is set up so if you sit there banging buttons all the time you will get 0 points but i clicked any time i saw anything that looked like it might be/become a hazard and whenever a hazard got more serious which meant 10 or more clicks in some clips and passed with 59. the best thing to do is practice using the cd rom they have out, its not too expensive and has all the clips they use so you can get a better feel for what they are looking for. Good luck next time ![]()

Re: Failed Hazard Perception No idea why I did mine about 3 or 4 weeks ago (HGV). I did pass, but like you I was confused by the instructions beforehand. The bit about losing all points for a section if you click too much, well how much is too much! I think that you need to click every time you spot a potential hazard, and then keep clicking if it gets more serious. I got 62 for the hazard, which, after 18 years car experience and 6 years motorbike experience is not a true reflection of my 'hazard perception-ness'. I hope you pass it next time matey, 'cos it sure isn't cheap is it?

Re: Failed Hazard Perception No idea why I'm with davethemonkey on this one, get the dvd mate. I managed to borrow it from my instructor when I booked the CBT but if you can't get it that way then click the link below. It's only £6, which is a bargain. I reckon you could sell it for more than that after you pass. ![]() Focus Driving Test Success, Theory Test, Hazard Perception DVD ROM, All Tests 2008/09 By practicing on the dvd I got 63/75 without any trouble and I wasn't nervous because I'd already done it loads of times at home. ![]() Last edited by Spinaltapper : 08-12-2008 at 06:30 PM.

Re: Failed Hazard Perception No idea why I failed mine on my first go too - but mine was because I managed to 'click too many times' . Not wanting to fail I gave a couple of clicks everytime I saw something serious happened - and on the clip with 2 hazards, that was 'too much' I'd say it was around 14 clicks which isnt a great number.. And since it was the double point scoring clip which I got zero for, I managed to fail. Just another way for our government to eat £££s...
