Recently passed but no bike yet Hi all, i stumbled on this forum after reading an article on visordown.com so i thought i would join and say hello, i passed my big bike test about 2 months ago, it was about time to i am now 47, although i used to ride my mates big bikes when i was 18 and loved it but never took a test, or ridden anything since, until now, it all started when my 16 year old got his aprili rs50 this year and i had a go on it, wow it was great and all the thrills of when i was 18 came flooding back, so i took all the test and past them all first time, but i can tell you i was so nervous it was unreal, i thought all that would go with age i am trying to save up to buy a bike (ive told the wife i am selling the car ).

Re: Recently passed but no bike yet Hi Maddy and welcome to the biker forum mate ![]() Personally I would be looking at one of the 600s, bandit, hornet fazer, etc for a first bike. Another one I would consider would be the Honda VFR 800, a good all rounder and nice riding position ![]()

Re: Recently passed but no bike yet Hi Maddy, gotta go with Spree on this......sportsbike not for people with bad backs.....look at the list Spree has given you, also to consider if money tight at first.....VFR 750. As the 800 but less engine capacity.....good all-rounder, an cheap now the 800 has been around a couple of years. Or there are the Sportstourers like thundercat. Good luck with your finding out. Remember biking is for life, not just for xmas...... ![]()
