Talking 100% newbie

Hi all,

Just thought I'd post a quick message to say hi and introduce myself

I'm Chris, just signed up to the forum yesterday, totally new to the whole biking thing (I haven't even booked my CBT yet! )

Anyway, what started out as an idea to get to work quicker and miss out a lot of traffic has turned into an obsession! And now I can't stop thinking about anything on 2 wheels

So much so that I have listed my project car on eBay to help fund my first bike... I love that car!!

So, my current checklist...

*Convince my partner that a bike is a good idea
*Convince my friends & parents I won't go out and kill myself
*Arrange CBT
*Choose bike!!

PS - If Anyone wants to buy a BMW 1989 project car, let me know!!!

Re: 100% newbie

good morning and good luck! im stuck at the obsessive compulsive bit too and think its starting to annoy my wife but once cshe gets peace and quite while im out on two wheels im sure she will agree its worth it, as for the convincing them you wont kill yourself just dont mention it - they may not have thought about it but will make them think you are worried about it!

Re: 100% newbie

Hi Indie,

It's not the shark-nose unfortunately It's the E30 M-Tech Edition. I'd post the item number but I don't know if that's against some sort of advertising-forum-policy Engine is a straight-six 2L

I've got no idea about people looking at you funny when you slide the back-end of a BMW out, but it's hard not to when it's wet!

Re: 100% newbie

Thanks Grotbag, my local CBT centre charges £125, I'm assuming this is with bike hire, does that sound right?

Yes, it's around the £100 mark around the country, including bike.
