hello hi, i've just come across this forum so thought i'd jump in and say hello. It's my birthday coming up and with all my gear getting quite old i thought it was time to start looking around for some good deals :-) is there anything on here where bike clothing is discussed? i am looking for advice on a jacket and troos. must be super waterproof and warm - i ride all year round, and hate having to send stuff back cos it leaks after a "good" shower!! any help to direct me would be appreciated... cheers ruddles

Re: hello Hi Ruddles, Welcome just here myself a few days ago. Try Hein Gericke, J@S Accessories.Frank Thomas,Christmas sale due soon You will probably find everybody has different opinions when it comes to riding gear. Try everything you can to get the right fit, try sitting on the bike with it on, to see how comfy it is. I wear IXS waterproofs, but are due for renewal maybe next year. Some of the others will give you some advice as well Cheers Rab

Re: hello welcome aboard and good luck with the gear hunt. Does anyone still wear Belstaff waxed cotton gear? I used to have some ages ago, but it was filthy and smelt really bad and it seemd to have shrunk (after a bike free few years, when I tried it on again it didn't fit ). Prior to that it always kept me warm and dry.

| Serenity I was depressed last night so I called Lifeline. Got through to a call center in Pakistan. I told them I was suicidal, and they got all excited and asked: 'Can you drive a truck?' | |

Re: hello thanks for the replies everyone. glad i joined .@ Rab - cool, my current rag is a Hein Gerricke but seen better days (several running repairs!). @ grotbag - will follow the links... @ emzed - "but it was filthy and smelt really bad" isnt that the point p.s. mine have shrunk around me without taking any time off - unbelievable!@ serenity13 - cheers @ indie - lavverly Essex Geeza! (but not indigenous). spada eh? not one i've heard of. have i mentioned i'm tight as a d.a. i wear a "next" bag with the handle stretched (over my head) and the sides split, as a bib under my jacket for really bad weather - works a treat. cheers Ruddles
