Wink Don't see many of those !

Hello,

Used bikes continuously for 45 years, since 1972 primarily with a third wheel attached. Raised our kids and never had to give up on motorcycling. Love everything about the biking scene, well almost. When I have enough posts, I'll provide more information on our machinery.

Re: Don't see many of those !

Hi John, welcome to the forum mate.

Funnily enough I was talking to my old man the other day and he was saying that you don't see many bikes and sidecars on the road anymore. Do you think that's because everyone has cars now or because they're percieved as being a bit dangerous-or both? My dad did say "well everyone did used to think they were dangerous."

Re: Don't see many of those !

welcome aboard, I've got a nostalgic soft spot for sidecars - my dad used to cart us around in a double one strapped to a Triumph. He then moved on to a Reliant and left the poor old bike and sidecar behind the shed to rot. When we moved house he scrapped the bike and sidecar (in his defence it was the early seventies and in those days they were just old bikes - not classics)
