Passed DAS Yesterday!

Well I passed my DAS test yesterday, and after 4 hours riding a day for the last 3 days I felt a bit wanting today.

All I need to do is convince the gf, then I can buy a bike, but no idea what to get. I'm 6ft2 and nearly 15 stone.

Any advice truly welcome, as am new to all things 2 wheeled.

congratulations on passing. As for the gf, try the angle of what a waste of money it would be shelling out on the training and the test, if you're not going to get a bike. Show her some leathers catalogues and appeal to her sense of vanity - "hey, you'd really look good in that". Or appeal to her sense of adventure "how'd you fancy a week away touring the continent?".

If all else fails, get her signed up on this forum and if she's not sold on biking instantly, we'll just nag at her 'til she gives in

Have a look around the place and you'll find loads of good advice about and if there's something in particular that you can't find, then just ask

I think I would rather go for a sports tourer type of machine, than a blade type bike.

Always wanted a Harley though, ever since I was a kid.

Was thinking about just buying a helmet, then saying "I may aswell get some gear aswell", and using the advice, bring her along to help me choose some leathers. Ha ha, then its all her idea when she spots what she likes (cheers EMZED).
