Greetings

Hi all

Back on a bike after 18 years, only a wee one, I never bothered with a test.
As my (token gay) mate got himself a new racey little Honda 125 I thought I'd join him in the "17 again" club.
As I just cancelled a trip to Newcastle because of the Terminal 5 embaressment I had spare couple of bob for a bike as long as I could find one cheap(old) enough.
Anyway looking for an old KMX or DT on ebay I started finding these new bikes well in my price range, yes you guessed it, they were Chinese.

I had a rummage though some websites to find out what was being said about them. So many people dissing them but take way those who don't own one and have probably not even sat on one and the gamble was lessened.

Luckily I drive a flatbed transporter so distance wasn't a problem when it came to collecting.

Back on ebay to get a few more prices and after a couple of days I decided to go for it.

SUDIKA??? That's a missprint right?
Well it looks like a KMX.... ish.
I phoned the fella in Telford and decided to pop up in my car to have a look, it looked like new and drove ok so I made him an offer and left him a D.
I waited for a job to Brum or further and it was only a few days before I picked it up.

Spent the next week sorting out the legal stuff plus breakdown cover just to be safe.

Just before taking it out for the first time it fell over and broke the bar clutch assembly, I strapped it up with cable ties and off I went.
I was back after 20 minutes grumbling about the clutch slipping everytime I went over a bump, I wondered wether this was due to dropping the bike or was this normal on a Chinese bike that had bearly reached a thousand miles.

I stuck it in the shop to get it sorted, while in there I asked them to disconnect the cut-off on the side stand, he asked if that was wise as it was a safety feature, "no offence mate but I'm not 17".

It's sorted now and I'm planning to venture around the south circular to Lewisham on Saturday, wish me luck.
