| Re: Members Tips on overtaking, filtering and the wind On my old scooter, i met some 60mph gusts of winds over an exposed bridge. Imagine how bad that was. I leaned towards the way the wind was going, almost like a sailing ship. I sat sideways on the seat, but i kept a total upright position. If a gust of sidewind hits you, and you fell it, tense and lock your arms as the wind hits, and you will not move more a foot away from your previous position. It worked for me...anyway. | Re: Members Tips on overtaking, filtering and the wind I think that if you tense then any body movement will be instantly transmitted through the bars and cause the bike to wander. Personally I prefer to hold the bars lightly and let the bike make its own way through the gusts and usually in a straight line. Just my opinion. |
