Yep,
Very good sir but you are never going to seal leather properly, I did try some aerosol sprays years ago that did smell nice (wait's for a solvent abuse comment) but didn't last as well. Also dubbin is a no-no as it can weaken the stitches.

only found out about this item as my leather jeans have developed a few little cracks around the knees

Perfume GB.

Nah seriously I used Putoline leather spray, it's more of a conditioner/cleaner.
