Help.

Hi. When i switched on my computer i had a page that said Adobe updates. I installed the update but now i can't get any Youtube videos.
When i click on a link or play video it comes up with.
You have turned off your javascript or are using an old Flash Player.
Download latest Adobe Flash Player.
I have tried to download latest Flash Player but it says somthing about a google tool bar.
I have checked my javascript and is not off.
Wish i had not clicked the update now.
HELP. What can i do?

Re: Help.

Daft question but have you restarted?

The best fix is to install and use the Firefox web browser
Firefox web browser & Thunderbird email client | Mozilla Europe

I'm not the only firefox user here as I'm sure a few peeps will be along to agree

Re: Help.

I'm with Rerb, get firefox installed, much better than Internet Explorer, once installed you still might need to update flash for Firefox tho.

Small bit of pain but is is well worth it.

Re: Help.

Firefox is the way to go Dave, the plugins are dead easy to install and it works better and faster with most modern web sites. I use Internet Explorer only when testing any new site I am developing but although the site validates correctly, you can be sure that I have to do a lot of alterations so it will work right in IE .

Maybe I should put a PC help forum on here if someone wants to watch over it? Eh Rerb and Jonny (mind you Jonny runs a 3rd world operating system dont he? Mugabe or summat )

Me and my third world operating system will be happy to help out spree mate ..
Flash can be a pain in ubuntu too, tho now it has gone open source we might get it working properly soon , and I have to contaminate my mind with windoze at work anyway

Dave,
My guess is the thing about google tool bar is it offering to install it into IE for you.. you should be able to uncheck the box and then continue the install process.. mind you you might even find google toolbar helpful. If that don't fix it the use your control panel add remove to completly remove flash, and then restart your puter and install again

I agree firefox is a worthwhile change to make, and if it don't fix the problem, then it will make it easier to fix.

Open the Windows "Start" menu, select "Run" (on Windows Vista, use "Start Search" or enable the Run box) then type and enter

firefox.exe -ProfileManager

depending on what happened during the upgrade, then you may find you have two profiles listed, if so, select each and see which one has your bookmarks.. then repeat, selecting the correct profile and set it as default
