Google Chrome As the title says Google have released a new web browser which has been around for about a week for testing (beta). I'm using it now and it seems really fast and easy to use. I wouldn't trust it with anything secure at the moment due to it being in development stage. Give it a go if you have five minutes spare. Google Chrome - Download a new browser Sorry Jonny it's Windows only.

Re: Google Chrome Hi, Google Chrome is an interesting project but be warned, Google have a habbit of undertaking a project and then leaving it to fade into the background. This, after all, their business model. They try new and exciting things to see what catches on - gmail catched on, so it's still going. On a more positive note, I'm running Chrome on my Vista machine and it's a very light and fast browser, though I've known people to run it and it's at the top of their process memory list, hogging more than FireFox. I may start using Chrome on my Linux laptop when the port coems out, we'll see ![]() Overall, it's a nice browser and even if they don't take support any further I'd still use it for those quick Google queries.

Re: Google Chrome Oh yeah, it certainly is - but at what cost? Some people have found this speed has been brought to them at a cost of double, in some cases tripple the RAM FireFox uses. To be honest though, this is likely their hardware and unique cases. I like it, and will continue to use it for light browsing. I currently use FireFox, IE 6/7/8, Chrome, Opera and Links for testing web development projects ![]()

Re: Google Chrome Inspired by rerb I have been giving opera9.5 a run out today. Found it easy enough to make it behave in a way which works for me and it is much faster than firefox3, both in loading and rendering.
