mice

Do you know if infa red mice have a life span?

Just curious as I bought two around the same time and they are increasingly 'not recognised' just lately. They are about 2 may be 3 years old and before you ask .. yes I have cleaned the lense / eye or whatever its called.

........... hate using the touch pad .. so slow

Some time's my mind doesn't only wander, it leaves completely ...........

I have one at work as I'm a cuddywifter and everyone else isn't. I've found that when the batteries need replacing it instantly goes dead, no slowing etc. Fooled me the first time into buying a new mouse.

Not for me, I've been using my Dell USB Optical mouse, for about 5 years now.
Been using it every day.

The sensor doesn't wear out, the LED that illuminates the surface under the mouse has a life expectancy of 100,000 hours, and there are no rollers that get scratched from multiple cleanings and end up unreliable

Re: mice

I use an optical mouse on a PSU port to the motherboard. It's a Genius Optical one and it works fine. I've had it about 10 years now.
