| Durham Bikewise 27th July Had a great day out here at Durham police headquarters. Apparently it's been running for a few years now; it's a bit of a Police/Bikers PR event to encourage relationships and encourage safer riding. We really enjoyed it. We saw..... A very good stunt show....   Some great mini-moto racers (youngest 6 years old!)....  Some great old machines...   Some fab old police cars.....  And some lovely new police bikes (And they call it a job!)...   And had a sit in the policeman's chopper.  Also saw the admirable police dogs in action, the off-roader course and the skid pan (which we fancied a go on but the queue was too big). The weather was boiling hot which made it so much better (except for the bike gear which was way too hot to have on!) All in all a great day which for £2 for adults and £1 for kids was well worth it. Anyone up here next year I'd have a look. We will be.  |
