Re: What's a Weekend Bike Ride Out to you? I put 200-300 miles, but it really depends on when and with whom I ride. I can do midweek evening rides of about 15 miles up and down the sea front to shields. Weekend ride outs can be over to Scotland and back down.

Re: What's a Weekend Bike Ride Out to you? I also put 200-300 but it depends when I go and with who. On a Sunday an early start can give me plenty of time to do a 300+ with meal stop and general sightseeing. Mid week evenings would probably be between 50 and 100. My daily commute is 36 round trip.

Re: What's a Weekend Bike Ride Out to you? I put 3-400 ![]() Reason being, I love to be out there and regularly disappear early in the morning till after dark. For a year or so, the only forum I was a member of was the firestorm uk site, most of their members live a long way from me, so I ended up doing 60 odd miles or so BEFORE the run out actually started, which means my runouts were 120 miles+ (usual meeting place Squires or Wolley Edge services M1) I live in Teeside, but regularly do Devils bridge and the lakes, Rivvy etc. One of the runs I do quite a bit with a few mates is; Teeside to Alston, Hexham, Keilder, Hawick, St Mary's Loch, then home via a very twisty back road westwards, then dropping back to Alston. Can't wait to do the run on the SP (only had it 2 weeks). Another run I like is around the Peak District, Snake Pass and onto Cat & Fiddle, then Buxton and Matlock, first bits boring though A1 M1 etc.. Not been doing so many runs this year though as my son was born in January and the other half can't get out pillion so much. This is my old bike, from a run to Flamborough Head, back in June ![]()
