Lord Stones Cafe, Carlton in Cleveland

Had a fab ride out yesterday. Got up early and spent the morning giving my bike a 'proper' ride before the roads got busy. Had a huge grin on my face when I got back to cafe. Bike might not be the most powerful but it's great on the twisties.

Met up with Gaz and went out again in the afternoon up to Lord Stones Cafe. From us the ride is great - Up to Helmsley then out on Stokesley road up to Chop Gate. What a lovely place. It's built into a rock in the middle of nowhere and overlooks Middlesbrough and the surrounding towns. The food is lovely and reasonably priced- big breakfast is £5.

Came back chilled out and ready for Monday morning again

Niki & Gaz

Monday morning..........let the stress begin !!

Absolutely - hope weather is good tomorrow. Gonna go out and get rid of some more

Forgot to add....they haved upped the police prescence around Squires cafe. Was a marked car and some unmarked ones around on Sunday. No surprise really after last few weeks. Go steady if any of you are riding up there.

You might know this already, but there is a regular bike meet on a Tues evening at the cafe. Never been but seen plenty of pics, always looks busy when the weather's good.

Re: Lord Stones Cafe, Carlton in Cleveland

If anyone's ever up to Lord Stones, let me know... It's only 25 mins away for me, so go up there quite a bit.
This pic is from when I went one morning early on in the year, good job I was in the car, check out the 2nd pic....

It were a bit cold, imagine riding your bike along here. It's the road from Clay bank down towards Great Ayton.
