| Re: forum meet up scotland august 2008 A really good weekend, good company, good beer and a cracking rideout on Saturday. We had to filter through a huge tailback in the pouring rain near Lancaster though on the way home. Many thanks to all who turned up for making the first meet such a great event that its almost decided that the venue will stay on the calendar next year with maybe another one in a different location . Highlights for me? 1.The route that Sam took us on for an all day rideout on Saturday, some of the best roads and stunning scenery that I have ridden to date. On a par with a lot of the recognised European biking routes for certain cheers Sam ![]() 2. Grotbags 24 hour grin after surviving a day as pillion with me and living to tell the tale ![]() 3. The best of all though was Clara's riding, after a hesitant start she got her confidence levels way up through the roof! Once there she became on of the leading riders in the group and thoroughly deserved to, slamming through the twisties like a pro. Her grin afterwards was never to be forgotten well done Clara, you can come again ![]() I will post some pics tomorrow as soon as I find the usb lead to get em off the camera ![]() |

| Re: forum meet up scotland august 2008 An absolutely great weekend spent with a smashing crowd of people. I thoroughly enjoyed myself and had a fantastic ride out, pillion with Spree who I might add made an old woman very happy! Breathtaking scenery on the route that Sam took us on - wonderful - wandering sheep, secret waterfall and that tiny downhill track Thanks Sam ![]() I didn't take many pictures as various cameras were whipped out at appropriate moments ![]() Getting ready to carry on traveling up to the meet after a ciggy stop ![]() deano, Mickie, Adrian and Lady Clara, Not quite sure why this one's there ![]() ![]() Last edited by grotbag : 09-01-2008 at 11:31 AM. | Re: forum meet up scotland august 2008 Sounds like a cracking weekend was had by all, hopefully me and Vickie might make the next one. You went round my favourite run too, St. Mary's loch . Did you go down the tiny twisty road on the other side from the cafe ? I've been confronted with the odd suicidal sheep down there. |
