Your Touring Tales

Hi everyone,

Me and my other half, will be touring Europe next year We are looking at heading to Italy.

Leaving from home at Portsmouth:- then France - Belgium - German - Austria - Slovenia -Italy and back through France. We have done Spain and also France. (and have our trusty sav nat and lots of maps).

Will be camping.... a lot. What do we take? What sort of Tent? is there different types of tent material's? Virgin campers

Do you have any tips or idea's.

Maybe about good places to visit or stay?

We used hard luggage the other times; these are the panniers that Triumph do for the Tiger, crap no room at all in them, and also used a Touratech yellow bag on the back rack, but because it was over the exhaust; our clothes were very toasty and so was my backside
Anyway back to the point.......what is the best luggage to use, we will be taking a bike each Tiger and SV650.

Thanks Guys

Re: Your Touring Tales

Sound quite a trip you're planning.

Tent wise go for something nylon (you can get away with packing it wet if you're stuck).

Re: Your Touring Tales

The Give stuff aint bad and quite reasonably priced too.

Probably best if you pop down to your local dealer to size them up.

Re: Your Touring Tales

Ok and that the soft luggage isn't? Is it waterproof and a good size? Because 1 pair of boots filled one side of the Triumph panniers, it was a nightmare! I know us females take the kitchen sink, but hey just some clothes space would of been nice haha.

P.S: how the hell do you add smiles to Quick Reply as not on task bar.

Click on "Go Advanced"

My Trophy has plenty of storage, add a tank bag and seat roll to the top box and big panniers and the kitchen sink goes in easily.
