Re: British Superbikes Knockhill Scotland 10th August 2008 - VIP Tickets

this is for the scottish members who didnt bid for the tickets, gititupyees

you missed out on a great day out even if the weather wasnt perfect, the racing was great.

you may not see all the action from the trackside, but you cant get the full effects of the sounds and smells from the telly and i have to say even though i have never been a ducati fan, the sound of the big V twin at close quarters is orgasmic. another plus of being at the track is all the racing that the tely doesnt show you, such as..KTM superduke battle, racetec national superstock 1000, yamaha r1 cup, fuchs silkolene british supersport, racetec national superstock 600, and the highlight of the day for me was the relentless british 125 gp

why would the 125 be the highlight i hear you ask ! well it could be that i feel i have helped one rider in a very small way.or it could be because Gary Dawson took the time to meet me at the gate and show me round the bike( and he made me a cup of tea ) but whatever the reason the 125s just seemed to be more exciting that the other races and more competitive as well, with a starting line up of 38 bikes, winning this race isnt going to be easy, infact in my opinion even finishing would be a great achievement, so well done Ben McConnachie for finishing just outside the point, but you were catching the two bikes in front and if the race had been the full 21 laps then im sure you would have finished a few places nearer the front.. as we say here in scotland "yul git thum next time wee man"

thats enough of my inane rambling.. all thats left to say is a huge thanks to gary dawson and everyone else associated with team replicast cheers guys even the wife commented that she enjoyed herself and wasnt even a wee bit bored.
