Fundraising - Companies

I have had an idea to try to raise larger amounts....

I anyone knows a company, this could be a bike shop, manufacturer, in fact any type of business they would be worth appoaching.

In return for a donation exceeding £300.00 I am prepared to give them;

  • A full page write up on the article section of this forum complete with a link and contact details.
  • A free link in the directory.
  • A full page "mini site" on the Bikerworkshop.com site complete with a link and contact details.
Conditions;
  • All text and images (for the bikerworkshop) must be supplied by the donator.
  • For obvious hosting reasons, I cannot accept businesses of an "adult" nature.
This sort of offer would be ideal for any company or business that doesn't have its own presence on the internet but any type of business can be accommodated.

To give you some idea of what the sponsors can expect, here are a few points that you can use to get cash out of them.

The Biker Forum itself is now one of the most prolific sites that show up in Google's search results. I have just spent a lot of time and money re-optimizing it for just that and I am confident that it is certainly one of the best search engine friendly forums worldwide. Google is constantly on the site 24 hours a day and we currently have over 48,000 url's sitting in their database. The site is so optimized that any post made here will show up in the search results on Google within 12 hours or less.

The Bikerworkshop is a comparitively new site but before it went live a couple of weeks ago I spent approximately 8 weeks digging through code to try to ensure it was very competetive right from the off. I am already acheiving in excess of 100 visitors a day from searches (this level would usually take 6 months or more) and has been met with rave reviews from suppliers who's news I cover.

For this level of advertising, £300 pounds is extremely cheap as a small front page banner on most sites can cost a similar amount, so try to lever more from them if possible. Try the company you work for if possible, try the local garage. Try anyone. If it has a front door just knock and ask

To illustrate the points I have made, last night I did a search for the scottish bikers fuel protest - you can see the results here. Five of the first ten front page results are from my sites and as you can see, the Bikerworkshop is there, as is the Bikerholic site

Re: Fundraising - Companies

Well, I've asked my company, Spree - I'm not hugely hopeful, but if you don't ask you don't get.

My bike's already due its first service, so when I drop it off at the dealers I'll have a word with them too.

Regards

Neil
