I spoke to Ian McConnachie today and he said that Ben is going to be racing on a wildcard, mainly to set the bike up and to try to ensure a good result at Knockhill the following weekend.

Its a thundersport meeting and Ben is entered into the 125 race. I will be going in the car because my Wife wants to go as well as my lad. If anyone fancies going then respond to this post. It would be good to meet a few of you and I am sure that it will give Ben a bit of a boost to know that forum members are actually coming to see him

Maybe you guy could use it as a rideout?

Just been looking at the web site which is up and down like a yoyo! I thought someone said on another thread that tickets were quite expensive

it's saying £12 on the gate tomorrow, is that right?

First practice starts at 9.30 according to Ben and I dont know which hes racing in either? Sorry

Geeze, I'd have to set off at 6am to make that, it's almost a 4 hour drive for me.

Couldn't make it

My Daughter had to have an emergency op to drain an abscess close to her spine last night. Didn't get home til 4.30 am and I have to take her back later to have the dressing changed.

She fine but a bit sore now thanks - the hospital reckon she will be off work for around 4 weeks

abscess are painful at the best of times but the spines a dodgy place to have one near. Hope she makes a speedy recovery now it's drained

Just a short report. Ben managed to qualify 3rd on the grid (great result) but the bike started to seize again during the race and he pulled out to minimise damage. They now think that its the ignition unit causing the problems as the top and bottom ends of the bike have been renewed with good quality parts. They are going to replace it for a different unit for Knockhill - bloody expensive eh
