As most of you are now aware, one of our Scottish members, Stephen Topping (AKA FRYUP) has just lost his Wife Sharon, in a tragic motorcycle accident over the weekend. Stephen was apparently riding behind her and was unfortunate to have witnessed the accident. Sharon was pronounced dead by paramedics at the scene.
This has obviously left Stephen a widower, but she has also left behind two Sons aged 12 and 16.
How the poor man is going to cope with this is beyond my comprehension and all I can do at this time is to send our deepest condolences to Stephen and his family from all members and staff of the Biker Forum.
In light of this happening, I have spoken to Del and he has suggested that the proposed Jurassic Run scheduled in a couple of weeks time becomes a memorial run for Sharon and the family she has left behind.
As a result, we will be collecting voluntary donations from anyone that wishes to attend the rideout. We will also be supplying white ribbons as a mark of respect to wear on our bikes.
I have never met either Stephen or Sharon personally and this is the first time I have ever had to write anything like this, but is is breaking my heart to do it. I really am at a loss to put into words what I feel right now.

Right, I have got tired of thinking of a way to draw the winner, so I have just asked my Daughter to give me a number between 1 and 14 inclusive.

Just lately, I have been going through the stats and posts and we are being flooded by learners or would be learners.
The vast majority of these sign up, ask the same old questions and are never seen again.
I'm a bit fed up now of reading questions about 125's, mopeds and bike tests etc so I am deleting the new biker section.
The deletion will be permanent, as I have shelved the forum in the past and it did slow the newbies registrations down quite a bit.
Also, I'm not sure if we need a sports section on here as there is very little posted in there and the uptake for the WSBK ticket competition has been pathetic, there will be more on this later.

The kind people from Pirelli have donated a pair of weekend passes for the Silverstone round of this years World Superbike Championship so you now have the chance to win them for free.
The prize consists of 2 x WSBK weekend passes for Sat 31st July and Sun 1st August. They also include pit walk passes.
To have a chance of winning this fantastic prize, all you need to do is answer the following two questions.
- Who is the face of Pirelli's newest tyre, the Diablo Rosso Corsa?
- What is the additional horsepower to the ground at maximum acceleration offered by the Diablo Rosso Corsa, in comparison to other tyres tested?
PM your answers to me (Spree) with the title "Pirelli Competition". Do not post your answers on the forum itself.

Competition rules.
1. The competition will be open for seven days and is open to the members of the Biker Forum (including the Admin staff) - not the public. The Competition will close at midnight on the 17th July 2010. Any entries after that will be ignored.

3. Passes are for the sole use of the winning member and their chosen partner and may not be passed on or sold to a third party.
4. The entries with the correct answers will be numbered and the winner will be drawn from those entries
