  1. Cheap chain lube + cleaner

    29 August 2012 - 10:22 PM

    Went to JTF discount store today with a mate to pick some bits up for his car, and found;
    200ml MBK chain cleaner: 99p (+VAT)
    200ml MeanMachine Chain lube: 99p (+VAT)

Had a look on ebay, and they're about £4 each, so not a bad deal if any of you are looking at stocking up! :P
  2. Cleaning out the mancave...

    29 July 2012 - 06:59 PM

I had nothing to do today, so thought I'd tidy up the garage a bit :thumbsu:

Started off looking a bit like this, only without the moped+gsx400 and with a bandit600 and loads more crap on the floor instead!

Sorry, forgot to take a photo beforehand and this is all I had

Emptied out anything that could fit into the shed (lawnmower, loads of bits of wood, woodchipper, chained the trailer up to the caravan, and cleaned up all the litter and old broken parts that were lying around (nearly filled a black bin).

Added a rug for my bike to sit on.. :yahoo:

Looks like there's still room for another bike :pardon: maybe one day

Then I decided I'd make more room to manuver my bike outside the garage. We've had a pile of gravel sitting there since we did the drive about a year ago taking up a big chunk of the enterance for the garage, so I decided to move it into the flowerbeds in the back garden :)

    About half way through..

  5. Do I need a new brake calliper? Bleed nipple snapped..

    26 June 2012 - 07:28 PM

Covered both nipples in WD40 to start off with and left for a while (obviously not long enough!) :D

I tried undoing the bleed nipple erlier as I was bleeding my rear brakes, the first one came off fine, the second one SNAPPED.

I tried numerous (probably dumb) ways to get it off. The first was using one of those screwdrivers with a head a bit like a star, used (i think) to remove worn down screws. The thing snapped off inside the nipple.

Then I tried sawing a flathead screwdriver line into it, which didn't work as the screwdriver kept slipping.

I then heated it up with a lighter and tried using some grips to remove it.. no luck

Last but not least, I tried drilling it, but as there was no little hole anymore (due to the first tool snapping and filling it) that didn't work very well.

    Do I need a new calliper? :(
